Booking conditions

  1. The information we have given about Clanaborough is honest and accurate. If any major changes occur, then we will let you know.
  2. By booking Clanaborough, you agree to keep the premises and all it's furniture, fixtures, fittings and effects in the same condition as found at the start of your stay. We will be compensated for any damage and breakages that occur (fair wear and tear excepted). You also agree to leave the premises as clean and tidy as when you first arrived. This allows us to keep the rent as low as possible.
  3. We welcome well-behaved pets. However, we reserve the right to charge cleaning and repair costs if your pet damages any aspect of the cottage, such as a part of the building, furniture and/or soft furnishings.
  4. Please note that the cottage is equipped and suitable for up to 6 people. If you want to have an extra person or two, please check with us prior to your stay.
  5. We, or our representatives, are allowed access to the cottage at any reasonable time during your stay. We may very occasionally need to get into the cottage, (to examine something, deliver coal, or repair damaged furnishings). In this case, we will always try to contact you beforehand to arrange a mutually convenient time.
  6. If for any reason we have to close or withdraw the cottage, you will receive a full refund.
  7. If you need to cancel the holiday before the final balance is due, you should inform us immediately and we will do our best to re-let the cottage. If the cottage is re-let, then your deposit money will be repaid minus a handling charge of £5.00. If we are unable to re-let the cottage then the deposit will be forfeited.

    If you need to cancel your holiday after the final balance is due, whether or not it has been paid, then unless the cottage is re-let you will be liable for the full cost of the holiday. If the cottage is re-let all your payments will be refunded minus a handling charge of £10.00.

    You might feel that you would like to take out insurance to cover either of these possibilities.
  8. Payment of the total cost of the holiday is due 8 weeks before the start date of your stay. We ask this to be sent without further reminder.
  9. If you have any problems during your stay, please contact us immediately and we will do our best to help as quickly as we can. Unfortunately, we cannot rectify problems or concerns after you have finished your holiday so please contact us sooner rather than later! We are always pleased to give you any local information or offer any assistance or advice. We just want you to have a really good relaxing holiday in this beautiful part of Devon.
